MetaMask – Ethereum Browser Extension
MetaMask, an extension for the Ethereum browser that allows users to view the Ethereum blockchain directly from their browser. This extension allows users to conduct Ethereum transactions directly from their web browser.
How does it work?
MetaMask extends Ethereum’s Web3 API to any Javascript context. This means that when you open a webpage, the extension can access the blockchain information. This information includes the Ethereum addresses of every wallet and the associated balances, the Ethereum address and balance of the contract address, the number of transactions that were performed, and more.
Once a user has signed up, a wallet in their MetaMask client is created. The user can transfer tokens between addresses and withdraw them, as well as move funds between wallets.
